FAQs
Kevala Yoga classes are filled with Encouragement and Enthusiasm. All levels welcome.
How many classes a week should I do?
1 class a week is a good start, but 2 or more you will progress faster. What you learn from class you can start to practise daily.
Can any age start Yoga?
You are never too old to start. You will learn to move correctly. Modifications are offered if there is weakness or restriction.
Can a beginner do your classes?
All our classes are mixed levels and careful instructions are given to ensure all poses are appropriate to every student. Beginners are very welcome.
Recommend Thursday 6.30pm and Saturday 7.00am classes for your first at Helensvale.
Do I need a Mat?
We provide some mats, however its good practise to have your own personal mat, once you start coming regularly.
What do I wear?
Something comfortable that you can move and breath easily in ( not restricting around tummy or chest especially). Shoes will be taken off prior to class.
How long does it take before I feel or see changes?
After the first class you should feel more relaxed/calmer. We all have different bodies and minds, so changes happen differently for everyone. With patience, persistence and regular practise you will see physical , mental and emotional changes in short time.
What time should I arrive before class?
You should arrive 5-10minutes before class time so you can settle , relax and unwind from work. This also gives you chance to chat with Teacher if needed.
Yoga Ettiquete
Try to be quiet at the beginning of class and during the class. Just focus on your breathing and your body only. Then you will get more benefits from your practise.
