"Prior to and during my pregnancy with my second child I attended Jodie's yoga classes. The yoga classes left me feeling so refreshed and ready to bounce through the day. Through the various poses in yoga class, I felt that I maintained strength of the body and of mind - focused on the impending birth. I felt that the yoga classes allowed me to maintain much flexibility that is so often lost during pregnancy ( which results in discomfort) but the pregnancy was so comfortable - which I attribute to regular yoga practice. Even though the yoga classes were not specifically pregnancy classes, Jodie always had an alternative pose ready for me. I had a fabulous birth with my second bub, quite different to my first baby - where I had not practiced yoga at all. Robyn AndersenIn January 2011, my life was at a very low point when a friend suggested I try yoga. I went along to my first class with Jodie at the Helensvale community centre as a total novice and from that day onwards I was hooked. Jodie is inspirational, not only as my yoga teacher but also as a person. Her patience and gentle guidance in our classes give me confidence to try new things and to feel good about the level at which I am at presently. The sense of calm and inner peace that has come from doing yoga has completely transformed my life, the self awareness and personal growth iʼve experienced has been incredible. Jodie is a passionate, intuitive Teacher. I wasnʼt in a good place and if I was honest I only gave yoga a try because it was the last thing on my list. After years of suffering severe RSI, I had no strength in my wrists and arms and desperately needed to take control of my body. Jodie was exactly what the doctors prescribed. She has been encouraging and supportive. Jodies conscientous eye for technique has allowed me to experience the benefit of movements that I thought would never be possible... She has the awareness and knows when you are struggling with a pose and before you know it you will hear her calm and encouraging voice guiding you with alternative poses. Iʼve finally had a yoga breakthrough, I have noticed significant improvements in all areas of my life, my pain levels decreased as quickly as my strength & flexibility increased. Michelle StegmannI was a dancer for 18years so I was always very strong and flexible. Once I stopped dancing I lost most of it. I have been doing Yoga with Jodie for 2 years now and my strength and flexible has come a long way. Poses that at the beginning were near impossible for me, I can now do with ease. I tried a few different yoga classes prior to meeting Jodie, but I have found her classes to be a standout. Jodie talks you through different variations to each pose to get the most out of every pose, as well as learn and develop at a pace that suits each person.

Jane FirthYears ago I was struggling with Adrenal burnout and despite taking herbs, I was not getting the vitality and energy I wanted. I was frustrated, as though I was doing all the right things. My holistic doctor suggested yoga as a way to assist witt my healing. Hmmm, I was not so entirely convinced, as I tried it many years ago and didnʼt like the “quiet”. But “quiet” was precisely what I needed.

After my first class at Upper Coomera I loved it! I loved her guidance, the focus on breathing, the gentleness and acceptance of my mind and body. Itʼs not about what everyone else can do, the focus is on you and your level. Wow, what a great challenge for my ego! I have consistenlty been to Jodies yoga classes for well over a year and it has been an inward journey for me. I have created more mental clarity, more acceptance and gentleness about my mind and body.

Megan FinterI have been doing Yoga with Jodie for almost 3 years and have gone from going once a week to three times because I found it complimented my other exercise so well. It is a chance to be quiet and have time to myself whilst strengthening my back which I had previously had trouble with, my core and overall flexibility. It is such a good feeling to stretch everything out, including the mind!!. I sleep so well and really notice the difference when I miss a class. I really believe everyone would benefit form doing yoga at least once a week!!
